our beginnings

Harvest Community Church was birthed out of

a vision placed in the hearts of founding pastors,

Jeff and Judy Burris, and a group of faithful believers.

They responded to God's call to leave their place

of ministry at New Hope Worship Center in Concord

and plant a new foursquare work in the Northwest

Cabarrus area. Beginning in February of 2004

Harvest Community Church  launched

it's first public service at Northwest

Cabarrus High School.

In December of 2009

Harvest opened the doors to

its new facility located at

4284 Orphanage Rd.

what is foursquare?

The term "foursquare" was common in the early 1900's and referred to something or someone as being "solid" and "balanced". It was during this time that God called Aimee Semple McPherson to preach what she called the "foursquare gospel." Her evangelistic meetings led to a movement, which became the Foursquare Church in December of 1927. To this day the message remains a simple, four-point declaration of Jesus as:

  •     SAVIOR
  •     HEALER
  •     BAPTIZER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
  •     SOON-COMING KING

Today there are more than 1,500 Foursquare churches in the United States with over 6,600 credentialed ministers serving over 264,000 members! Internationally there are more than 68,000 Foursquare churches in more than 140 countries with over 71,000 credentialed ministers serving more than 8.5 million people worldwide! Click here to find out more about Foursquare.
